
Marah Ballard To Lead Virginia Badgers Dance Team

The Virginia Badgers have named Marah Ballard to lead their dance team. Marah Ballard lives and works in Fredericksburg, Va. Marah has been studying dance since she was six years old.
She danced competitively in jazz, tap, musical theater, hip hop, lyrical/modern and production from 1997 until 2006, earning many top awards. Her love of hip hop and performing brought her to train in Washington, DC in 2006. Marah was a member of Joy of Motion's Teen Hip Hop Dance Company, Urban Impact, for two years and has been with DCypher Dance Company since 2010.
She can be seen regularly performing at Club MIA in Washington, D.C., has performed with several signed recording artists as a back up dancer and has performed at numerous venues around Washington, Maryland and Virginia, including the Kennedy Center and the Verizon Center. She has also appeared on stage in "Grease" and "42nd Street" at Riverside Dinner Theater
