The National Lacrosse League announced their weekly awards for Week 4 of play yesterday. Toronto Rock forward Blaine Manning was honoured for his outstanding performance against the Calgary Roughnecks on Friday January 16, 2004.
Manning scored 5 goals and added 8 assists to make it 13 points on the night. The 13 point night set a 2004 season high record and tied his own Rock franchise record for points scored in a game set just last season. Manning was only 1 point away from tying a league record for most points in a game (14), held by three men including Rock Interim General Manager Derek Keenan.
In 2003, Manning finished the season with 78 points on 40 goals and 38 assists. He scooped 78 loose balls and served 13 minutes in penalties.
