PORTLAND - The Maine Mammoths (1-7) host the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks (0-7) this Saturday in their second head-to-head matchup. This time, it is Teacher/Superhero Appreciation Night, where we recognize teachers of all schools and all grades for all the hard work they have done for students. This night also gives kids and adults the perfect opportunity to dress up and support their favorite superhero.

In the previous game between these two, the Mammoths came out victorious with a score of 45-24 in Week Three on April 21. Since then, the Mammoths have lost every game since and the Steelhawks are still looking for their first victory in 2018.

The last time these two teams met, Mammoths Quarterback Jonathan Bane threw for more yards than the entire Steelhawks offense achieved with 226 yards compared to the 173 total yards for the Steelhawks. Wide Receiver Devin Wilson was at the top of the leaderboard in catches, yards, and touchdowns for the Mammoths. He received the ball six times for 84 yards and two touchdowns, which tied Edgar Poe Jr. for the amount of touchdowns. Poe made five catches for 52 yards and two touchdowns.

The Mammoths defense looked unstoppable last time these two teams met. Not only did they allow less yards than Bane threw for, but they forced the Steelhawks to make a change at quarterback, which is never good for an offense, especially after the quarterback has been subpar during the course of the game. Robert Brown and Jason Johnson each caught themselves a touchdown in the last meeting. The Mammoths got to the quarterback for a sack a total of three times that night and recovered two fumbles. If this Mammoths defense can repeat their Week Three performance, a victory will be easier to accomplish.

Saturday's game will be shown on YouTube Live and will be posted on the team's social media pages. That will provide all the information on how to watch the game live on your phone or your computer.

The next Mammoths game is on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 7:00 pm (ET) in Jacksonville, Florida as they take on the Jacksonville Sharks (6-4).
