QUACK TRACKS
Tightening Up
With Sunday's win over Bloomington the Mallards pulled within three points of the fourth place PrairieThunder and the final IHL playoff spot. The Thunder does have three games in hand on the Mallards.
Home Sweet Home
With yesterday's win the Mallards improved to 6-0-0-0 on home ice against Bloomington this season. In total, the home team has won 13 of the first 14 meetings between the Mallards and Thunder.
Lipsett Leads
Chris Lipsett (22-33-55) rang up seven points (one goal, six assists) in three games over the weekend- including three assist outings last Friday against Dayton and again yesterday against Bloomington- to move past Patrick Levesque (27-27-54) for the team point scoring lead.
Powering Up
The Mallards went 8-for-15 on the power play in three games over the weekend. Three of the Flock's 11 total goals during that three game stretch came at even strength. In their last two games the Mallards allowed five goals on their opponents' ten power plays.
Terrific Tyler
Tyler Kindle (3-5-8) scored power play goals in each of the Mallards' last three games. His goal last Friday night against Dayton was his first for Quad City. Kindle collected points on six of eight power play goals scored by the Mallards in three games last weekend and was on the ice for all eight power play goals.
Streaking
Juris Stals (18-22-40), Justin White (14-22-36) and Brandon Marino (11-21-32) are all also in the midst of hot streaks. Stals recorded six points (three goals, three assists) in three games last weekend. Stals matched a team season high by recording four points (two goals, two assists) in last Friday's win over Dayton. White has gone for 12 points (four goals, eight assists) in his last seven games. Marino has notched 11 points (four goals, seven assists) in his last seven outings.
Down in Dayton
Last Saturday night's loss in Dayton was the Mallards' fourth defeat in as many games at Hara Arena this season.

Forward Ryan Fultz (foot) and defenseman Matt Burke (ankle) are on injured reserve.
SCOUTING REPORT
Muskegon
The Lumberjacks lost back-to-back games to the second place Icehawks in Port Huron last weekend...The Lumberjacks have gone 5-5-0-0 in their last 10 games...Muskegon boasts both the league's best home record (25-6-0-0) and best road record (15-9-0-3)...The Lumberjacks average a league best 3.8 goals per game...Todd Robinson (19-67-86) has overtaken teammate Robin Bouchard (47-37-84) for the league lead in points and also leads the league in assists. Bouchard leads the way in goal scoring...After scoring five times in his last four games Bouchard is nine goals away from the career minor league goal scoring record of 682...Injury has kept goaltender Sebastien Centomo (21-7-0-2, 2.41, .914, 3 SO) out of the Lumberjacks' last 12 games. Centomo is tied for the lead among IHL goaltenders in wins and shutouts and ranks second in goals against average. Centomo was riding a personal seven game winning streak before being sidelined...Brian Bicek (17-27-44) has recorded 11 points (four goals, seven assists) in his last six games...John DiPace's eight game point scoring streak (7-5-12) ended in last Saturday's loss to Port Huron...Matt Robertson (16-19-35) has scored six goals in his last four games and produced 10 points (seven goals, three assists) in his last six games...This is the first year of Rich Kromm's second stint as Muskegon coach. Kromm first piloted the Muskegon Fury from 1998-2001. That successful tenure was highlighted by the Fury's 1999 Colonial Cup title. As a player Kromm skated in 372 NHL games with the Calgary Flames and New York Islanders...The Mallards have gone 2-3-2-2 against the Lumberjacks.
Dayton
The Gems halted a three game losing streak by defeating the Mallards last Saturday night...Dayton has dropped seven of its last nine games and ten of its last 13 and has now fallen into the league basement. The Gems' only wins during that 13 game stretch came against the Mallards...Dayton has gone 11-24-0-1 in 36 games since starting the season 11-9-3-0...The Gems are the only IHL team with a losing home record (13-14-1-1)...Mike Vaskivuo (23-19-42) is tied with John Snowden (21-21-42) for the team point scoring lead. Vaskivuo ranks second among rookies in goals and third among rookies in points...The Gems are the least penalized team in the league (14.3 minutes per game), just ahead of the Mallards (14.4)...Derek MacIntyre (11-22-1-0, 2.98, .910) has started seven straight games and nine of the Gems' last ten...In 20 years as a head coach Dayton's John Marks has won two ECHL titles and one Southern Professional Hockey League championship. As a player Marks skated in 657 National Hockey League games with the Chicago Black Hawks from 1972 through 1982...The Mallards have gone 3-5-0-0 against Dayton this season.
