Quad City Mallards News Release
MOLINE, Ill. (November 8, 2012) - The Quad City Mallards of the "AA" Central Hockey League today announced Fox Sports Radio 1230 WFXN-AM will again this season be the radio home of the Mallards.
"We're thrilled to be able to team again with Fox Sports Radio 1230, which has been a great partner in bringing Mallards Hockey Presented by Genesis Power Sports Performance to the fans of the Quad Cities," said Mallards executive vice president Ryan Simmons. "WFXN-AM is the radio home for sports in the Quad Cities and also an ideal home for Mallards hockey broadcasts."
Fox Sports Radio 1230 will kick off its 2012-13 coverage of Mallards Hockey Presented by Genesis Power Sports Performance this Saturday night when the Mallards take on the Allen Americans at 7:00 p.m. A limited number of the Mallards' 60 remaining regular season games- including tomorrow night's match-up between the Mallards and Americans- will not be broadcast on 1230 AM and will air only online because of conflicts with University of Illinois basketball and football broadcasts. An audio webcast of tomorrow evening's game will be heard at myqcmallards.com starting at 7:00 p.m.
The full Fox Sports Radio 1230 broadcast slate will be updated throughout the campaign and will be available at myqcmallards.com. Brian Lavelle again this season provides the call of Mallards action.
In honor of Veterans' Day, tickets to the Mallards' games tomorrow night and Saturday evening are available for just $5 to military personnel, veterans and their families.
