Mallards Return Home for Action- and Promotion-Packed Saturday Night

MOLINE, Ill. (November 5, 2009) - The Quad City Mallards, proud International Hockey League (IHL) affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers, will return to the i wireless Center this Saturday night for an action- and promotion-packed evening as the Mallards with the Muskegon Lumberjacks at 7:00 p.m. The first 1,000 fans 12-and-under through the doors for the game will receive free Mallards min-sticks courtesy of Reynolds Ford; in addition, discounted tickets for the contest are available to veterans and active military in honor of Veterans' Day.

Along with Reynolds Ford's Mallards mini-stick giveaway, Saturday evening will also see the Mallards team with the i wireless Center to offer one free hot dog to the first 500 fans attending the game who donate a stuffed animal. All stuffed animals collected will be donated to the Festival of Trees' "Zoo Tree" and then to needy children in the Quad Cities area.

Both current and former members of the armed forces can purchase tickets to this Saturday's game (as well as the Mallards' Sunday, November 15 game against Bloomington) for just $9. Discounted tickets are available to fans who purchase their seats in person at the i wireless Center box office.

What will be the Mallards' third home game of the season gives fans another opportunity to Flock to the i wireless Center. A throng of 7,766 attended the Mallards' home opener against the Fort Wayne Komets on October 24- a crowd larger than some seen in the National Hockey League this season. The Mallards on opening night drew more fans than the NHL's Phoenix Coyotes have on three different occasions this year.

Tickets for Saturday's game and all remaining regular season Mallards home games are available at the i wireless Center box office, Ticketmaster outlets and www.ticketmaster.com or through Ticketmaster charge-by-phone toll free at 1-800-745-3000. The box office is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and on game days from 10:00 a.m. through the end of the second period.
