Icehawks To Commemorate Veterans Day With Free Tickets

PORT HURON, MI - The Port Huron Icehawks will commemorate Veterans Day on Wednesday, November 11 by offering veterans a free ticket to that night's game versus the Muskegon Lumberjacks.

All veterans and current members of the armed forces with valid military I.D. will receive a free ticket to the game at 7 p.m. Tickets can be picked up in advance at the McMorran Arena Box Office or obtained at the door.

"The Icehawks are proud to honor servicemen and women with this special offer," Icehawks Vice President/Business Manager Dave Goetze said. "We hope this game will in a small way pay tribute to members of the armed forces past and present."

The game will include a tribute to veterans. Fans will also receive free miniature American Flags.

A new ticket package will also be available for Wednesday's game. The Deuces Wild package includes two tickets and two beers or pops for just $22 and will be available for all Tuesday and Wednesday games this season. The package must be purchased in advance at the Icehawks office during normal business hours. The Icehawks office is located inside McMorran Arena at 701 McMorran Blvd.

The Icehawks face a trio of contests this weekend. They will host the Bloomington PrairieThunder on both Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m., then travel to Dayton to battle the Gems at 5 p.m. on Sunday. Friday is Beatles Night at McMorran Arena. On Saturday, the first 500 fans will receive a free oversized trading card.
