This week's upcoming events:
Thursday, September 16- Dwyer & Michaels One Club Golf Tournament
The Mallards are a proud sponsor of the Dwyer & Michaels One Club Golf Tournament taking place at Hidden Hills Golf Course in Bettendorf. There is a 9:00 am shotgun start. Mo Mallard himself will be stationed at a hole on the course to greet golfers. A bird's eye suite for a Mallards game will also be raffled off at the awards ceremony following the event. All golf participants will receive free admission to the Mallards' opening night game October 16.
Thursday, September 16- Milan Rotary Meeting
Team President Chris Presson will speak at the monthly meeting of the Rotary Club of Milan. September's meeting will take place at the Milan Happy Joe's, located at 909 W. 4th St., Milan. Chris will discuss the team's new management, the switch to the Central Hockey League and the upcoming season.
Saturday, September 18- Healthy Families Day
Healthy Families Day is a collaboration between the Quad Cities YMCAs, the four local Park and Recreation Departments, and many other community organizations. The event is free, and families can enjoy games, crafts, and sports while learning about healthy living habits. The event goes from 10 am-2 pm at Modern Woodmen Park in Davenport. Mo will help kick off the fun at 10:00 am.
Saturday, September 18- Per Mar KlaasKids Print-A-Thon
Mo Mallard will make an appearance at Per Mar Security's KlaasKids Print-A-Thon event taking place at their office,1910 E. Kimberly Road, Davenport. This event is entirely free to Quad City families and provides the opportunity to spotlight child safety. Kids can receive free fingerprinting, photos and DNA packets. The event runs from 10 am-4 pm, and Mo is excited to be present between 12-2 pm.
Looking forward:
The Mallards will take on the Bloomington Prairie Thunder in preseason action Saturday, October 9, 2010 at 7:05 pm at the i wireless Center in Moline. This will be the first chance for fans to see the Mallards in game action before the inaugural CHL season. All tickets are general admission for $8 and go on sale October 4. Season ticket holders get in free.
As proud new members of the "AA" Central Hockey League, the Mallards look to open their season Saturday, October 16, 2010 against the Odessa Jackalopes. The game starts at 7:05 pm at the i wireless Center in Moline.
