Madison Mallards News Release
Busch Light is the new naming rights partner for the legendary Duck Blind party area
The Madison Mallards are excited to announce that they have come to an agreement with locally owned Wisconsin Distributors to make Busch Light the new naming rights partner of the popular Duck Blind party area. The legendary experience of the Busch Light Duck Blind will remain the same while being improved upon through the partnership. In true Wisconsin duck blind style, the Busch Light Duck Blind now has a blue camouflage look that was hand painted by Wisconsin artist Dean Tawwater. New Trex decking has been added throughout the space, donated by Marling Lumber, giving the Busch Light Duck Blind a clean new look. The most exciting improvement made in the area is the new Busch Light Duck Blind Reserved Tables, for groups of six, that are each custom built out of Trex materials.
The Busch Light Duck Blind has gone through multiple renovations since 2001, culminating in a complete rebuild in 2017 that transformed the space into the first ever permanent installation at a sports venue to be completely built out of shipping containers. The space features 44 recycled containers, custom fabricated into a space that offers general admission options, reserved tables, private indoor and outdoor suites and more. Over 22 styles of beer will be on tap in the area, along with outstanding bottomless ballpark food and a great view of the game.
The Busch Light Duck Blind was originally opened as the Isthmus Duck Blind in 2001 and became the Great Dane Duck Blind in 2002 and remained that until 2021. Great Dane Pub & Brewing beer will continue to be available in the Busch Light Duck Blind and throughout the stadium. In addition to Busch Light, Wisconsin Distributors will offer beers from 6 different local breweries both in the Busch Light Duck Blind and throughout the stadium.
Wisconsin Distributors services 30 counties in southern Wisconsin with two warehouses located in Sun Prairie and Appleton. They distribute domestic, craft and import beers along with a variety of Non-Alcohol beverages. Some of their most popular beers include Busch Light, Bud Light, Michelob Ultra, New Belgium, Bell's Brewery, Goose Island, Wisconsin Brewing Company, One Barrel Brewing Company, O'So Brewing Company, Door County Brewing Company, Vintage Brewing Company, Potosi Brewing Company, Stella Artois, Krombacher, Abita, Shiner, Mobcraft, Golden Road Brewing, Spaten, Rhinegeist, Blake's Cider, and Seagram's Escape.
Busch Light has a great reputation for giving back to the community, and as a part of the sponsorship, every time a Mallards player breaks a bat in 2022, Busch Light will donate a tree to be planted in a City of Madison Park.
"We are thrilled to bring a new naming rights partner to the Duck Pond", Samantha Rubin, Assistant General Manager of the Madison Mallards states. "We hope to bring a fresh new look with all the same inclusive perks to the Duck Blind."
"After 20 years, Wisconsin Distributors is honored to provide the naming rights for The Duck Blind. Busch Light is fun and easy going. In addition to what the brand offers for the fan; Busch Light will be giving back to Madison Parks by planting trees. This summer the Mallards will feature a Busch Light Apple night as well as many fan focused activations for years to come," Said Wisconsin Distributors, VP of Marketing, Abby Bartlett. "Wisconsin Distributors is proud to also offer 6 local and many national beer brands throughout the Mallards Stadium. When you join us at the ballpark this summer, I invite you to crack one open!
The Madison Mallards home opener is coming up on May 30th. Buy your tickets now to see the new Busch Light Duck Blind renovations. The game will be starting at 4:05pm, with gates opening at 3:05pm, against the Lakeshore Chinooks. The first 1,000 people in the park will receive the first ever re-branded Maynard G.
