LEWISTON, ME - The Lewiston MAINEiacs are pleased to announce the hiring of a new Head Coach to lead our club. Jean-Francois Houle has been selected as the next bench boss for the Lewiston MAINEiacs.

Houle, son of former Montreal Canadien and Quebec Nordique Rejean Houle, will be stepping down from his current role as assistant coach for the Clarkson University men's hockey team. During his time at Clarkson, Houle has helped lead his team to 2 back-to-back NCAA tournament appearances.

"I would like to thank Mr. Just and the Lewiston MAINEiacs organization for giving me this opportunity," said Houle. "My family and I are excited and proud to be part of such a great organization. I am definitely ready for the challenge ahead."

Houle graduated from Clarkson University with a bachelors degree in business administration in 1997. He then went on to play five seasons of professional hockey in the ECHL and AHL. Coach Houle is married to wife Mia and has two children, Emma and Noah.

Houle will take command of the team on December 27 in Victoriaville. His first game at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee will be on December 28 versus Victoriaville.

We would like to extend a warm welcome to Coach Houle and his family from the Lewiston MAINEiacs organization.
