MAINEiacs look to rebound

Lewiston, ME - The Lewiston MAINEiacs look to rebound after losing their last three games following their 13-game winning streak. This week the MAINEiacs have three games here at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee where they will host the Saint John Sea Dogs on Tuesday, December 12th at 7:00pm. Then this weekend they will play a weekend doubleheader where they face-off against the Val-d'Or Foreurs on Friday, December 15th and Saturday, December 16th they will play the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies both games at 7:00pm.

Lewiston enters this week at the top of the QMJHL despite losing their last three games with a 23-7-0-3 overall record and a 13-1-0-2 home record. The MAINEiacs opponent on Tuesday is the Saint John Sea Dogs who continue to be the cellar dwellers in the East with a 10-20-1-1 record; head-to-head the MAINEiacs are 2-0-0-0 against the Sea Dogs. Friday and Saturday will be the MAINEiacs first look at the Val-d'Or Foreurs and Rouyn-Noranda Huskies of the Telus Western division. Val-d'Or is at the top of the West with a 22-10-2-1 record as the Huskies are ranked 5th with an 18-13-2-3 record.

Tuesday, December 12th is our first of 2 Lewy's Legion Redemption Nights. This is a benefit for all season ticket holders who have any unused tickets prior to this game they can use them as flex tickets for this game! Tuesday is also our Seniors Night where all senior citizens (60+) can receive $8.00 tickets. This Tuesday is also our first Student Achievement Night where students can bring in their honor roll report cards to the Androscoggin Bank Colisee box office for discounted tickets. This game will feature our Bedard Medical Chuck-A-Puck where all proceeds will benefit Central Maine Community College and Seniors Plus - Meals on Wheels.

Friday, December 15th is State Farm Insurance 4th annual Teddy Toss Night! Fans are encouraged to bring in a stuffed toy to be tossed onto the ice after the MAINEiacs first goal of the game as a way of celebration - the stuffed toys will then be donated to local charities throughout the community for the Holiday season. The Maine Army National Guard will be in the building with the Hummer and lots of free-bees for the fans! This is also a military discount night where all military personnel past and present can receive $8.00 tickets with proper ID at the box office. At this game one lucky fan will shoot for $600 into an open net from center ice as we continue our Lewy's Loot Shoot promotion. Also if there are 3000 or more fans in the building we will give away $1000 cash to the winner of our Last Fan Standing Promotion. This game will feature our Bedard Medical Chuck-A-Puck where all proceeds will benefit the Trinity Catholic School and Seniors Plus - Meals on Wheels. Following the game MAINEiacs players Jakub Bundil, Michal Korenko, Stefan Chaput, & Peter Delmas will be in the Shipyard Lounge.

Saturday, December 16th is Home for the Holidays at the MAINEiacs where there will be lots of gift giveaways and a special visit from Santa Claus. This game will feature our Bedard Medical Chuck-A-Puck where all proceeds will benefit the Lutheran Social Services of New England and Seniors Plus - Meals on Wheels. Also if there are 3000 or more fans in the building we will give away $1000 cash to the winner of our Last Fan Standing Promotion. Following the game MAINEiacs players Chris Tutalo, Tristan Manson, Eric Castonguay, & Chad Denny will be in the Shipyard Lounge.

MAINEiacs in the Community

This week some of the MAINEiacs players and Lewy the mascot will be making an appearance at Martel School in Lewiston on Thursday - December 14th from 1:15-2:15pm. There, they will be presenting their Lewy's Read to Succeed Program expressing the importance of reading. MAINEiacs players making the appearance are Peter Delmas, Michael Ward, Stefan Chaput, and Chad Denny.
