Lewiston MAINEiacs News Release
Lewiston, ME - The Lewiston MAINEiacs returned from Christmas break empty handed tonight as the Moncton Wildcats defeated the MAINEiacs by a score of 3-1. Moncton scored one goal every period starting in the first with Jesse Biduke netting his 8th goal of the season at 6:27. In the second, Randy Cameron scored his 8th at 8:20. Lewiston spoiled Wildcat's goaltender Nicola Riopel's shutout attempt with a short handed goal by Stefano Giliati at 8:23 of the second. This was Giliati's 21st goal of the season and he continues to lead the MAINEiacs in scoring this season. Moncton finished scoring at 13:56 with a goal by Pier-Marc Lessard.
Lewiston goaltender played strong in net for the MAINEiacs making 30 saves tonight earning him second star of the game.
