Birmingham, AL. If you've ever wanted to dance for a professional sports team, this may be your opportunity. The ABA Birmingham Magicians, the city's exciting new professional basketball team that begins play in November, is looking for dancers to be a part of their inaugural season.
Auditions are being held at the Sportsplex on Hwy 280, Sunday, October 2nd at 2pm.
Applicants will be required to perform a routine that will be taught that day. There is a $20 non-refundable registration fee. Anyone with dance/cheer experience is encouraged to audition. Experience is not required. You must be 18 or older to audition. For more information, email magiciansdancer@hotmail.com or visit www.abalive.com.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams. For information on professional minor leagues, please see OSC's basketball section.
