
Magicians Claim Midwest Division Playoff Championship

The Minnesota Magician's beat Kenai River 3 games to 2 to advance in the Robertson Cup playoffs and will face the Aberdeen Wings this Friday in Blaine, MN.
The Magician's opened the series winning the first 2 games at home before Kenai worked their way back to force a game 5 in Richfield. The Magician's opened up a 3 goal lead in game 5 with tallies from Michael Ferrandino, Devlin McCabe and Trevor Kukkonen. Kenai River would fight back to score 2 but that wasn't enough. Andy Beran secured the win and the series for the Magician's stopping 33 of 35 on the night which help send the Magician's to their first Robertson Cup finals and claiming the Midwest Playoff Championship in the process.
Lleyton Roed leads the NAHL playoffs in scoring with 13pts (4g, 9A) and Devlin McCabe sits 4th in the league with 9pts (3g, 6a) heading into the finals this weekend. Goaltender Andy Beran will look to continue to backstop the Magician's and holds a 2.25 GAA and 93 save percentage in this years playoffs.
