October 21, 2015 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Minnesota Magicians News Release
The Minnesota Magicians are excited to announce the acquisition of Minnesota native forward, Owen Larson. Larson comes to the Magicians after starting the season with the Minot Minotauros of the North American Hockey League (NAHL). Larson is no stranger to the ice at Richfield Arena, having played three years with the Academy of Holy Angels hockey team. Last season with the Stars, Larson set a school record with 37 goals, a single-season school record at Holy Angels. This season in Minot, he played in 7 games and registered 3 goals.
Speaking about the acquisition of Larson, Magicians Head Coach Tom Upton said, "We are very excited to welcome Owen to the Magicians. We watched him a ton last season playing for Holy Angels and we like his work ethic along with his offensive ability. Any time we can get a top player from a very well respected high school program from around our area we jump on it and I am very happy this has worked out the way it has."
