Mad Hatters To Have Teddy Bear Toss To Benefit Danbury's Less Fortunate

(DANBURY, CT) - The Danbury Mad Hatters of the Eastern Professional Hockey League (EPHL) have announced that they will be organizing a teddy bear toss during their home game at the Danbury Ice Arena against the Hudson Valley Bears on Saturday, December 6 at 7:30 pm.
The Mad Hatters Teddy Bear Toss is a charitable event being assisted by the Danbury Fraternal Order of Police. All teddy bears collected after the toss while be distributed to less fortunate children in the Danbury area to provide those children a comforting teddy bear during the holidays.
All Mad Hatters fans are encouraged to bring at least one teddy bear to the Mad Hatters home game on December 6 against the Hudson Valley Bears. When the Mad Hatters score their first goal, all fans can toss the teddy bears they brought onto the ice. The bears will then be collected and donated to a local children's charity by the Danbury Fraternal Order of Police.
"This is a tremendous opportunity for both the Mad Hatters and their fans to help out their community in these tough times," Business GM Eric Horn said. "We hope that people can flood the ice with the teddy bears so we can flood Danbury's less fortunate children with hope and happiness this holiday season."
On Friday, December 5, Ethan and Lou from the I-95 Morning Show will be broadcasting live from the Danbury Ice Arena to help promote the Mad Hatters Teddy Bear Toss. The Mad Hatters players, as well as local Danbury city planners and promoters will be in attendance to help drum up support for the toss.
