(DANBURY, CT) - The Danbury Mad Hatters of the Eastern Professional Hockey League (EPHL) have postponed their December 19 game against the Jersey Rockhoppers at the Danbury Ice Arena because of poor weather conditions in the Danbury area.
The Danbury region is expected to receive heavy snow during the hours leading up to the game and authorities have advised people in the area not to travel.
"We are very concerned for the safety of our fans, and for the players from both teams who have to travel, and we felt it was in the best interest of all parties if we cancelled tonight's game," Mad Hatters Business GM said.
Fans who hold tickets for this game can exchange them for any remaining 2008-2009 regular season game. Fans can bring their tickets to the Danbury Ice Arena box office and exchange them the day of that game. Season ticket holders' tickets can either be exchanged for another game or use them for the date this game is rescheduled for.
The game is still scheduled to be made up although no date has been announced yet.
