Kennessaw, Ga. - The Atlanta Blaze are pleased to announce that Matthew Mackrides, after taking an immobilizing fall last night in the Blaze's home game against Charlotte, will be fine. Mackrides has been diagnosed with a concussion but was cleared from the hospital late last night and was able to return to his home of Philadelphia early this morning.

Atlanta Blaze's team doctor Dr. Burris said of Mackrides, "He will have to rest and start his recovery process for the concussion this week and it is unlikely he will be able to participate or travel to the All Stars Game on July 9."

The health of the players is most important to the Atlanta Blaze. Blaze owner Peter Trematerra noted that "We are thankful and relieved that Matt will be okay after his fall last night. Matt's health will of course be the Blaze's top priority and the Matt will abide by all health recommendations of Dr. Burris and training staff in the coming weeks."

The Atlanta Blaze will travel to Denver to play the Outlaws on Saturday, July 16th.
