Machine to face Notre Dame in lacrosse exhibition

On Sunday October 8th the Northbrook Park District will host the Chicago Machine - Chicago's Major League Lacrosse team - and the Notre Dame Division I Men's Lacrosse team to play an exhibition lacrosse game at the new Techny Prairie Park and Fields. Techny Prairie Park and Fields is located at 1750 Techny Road, Northbrook, Illinois.

Players will begin warm-up at 4:00PM with a face-off time of 4:30PM.

The event is free to spectators and will include a free youth clinic during halftime for young lacrosse enthusiasts to learn some basic lacrosse skills from the professional players.

Chicago Machine stand-outs including Kevin Leveille, Doug Shanahan, and Michael Culver will sport their Machine jerseys for the first time since the end of the 2006 regular season and spectators will have the opportunity to watch guest Major League Lacrosse players including MLL Rookie of the Year Matt Ward of the Baltimore Bayhawks, Kyle Dixon of the Bayhawks, Matt Striebel of the 2006 MLL Championship team - the Philadelphia Barrage - and Pat Hogan of the Boston Cannons.

After the game, spectators are invited to meet and greet the Notre Dame and Chicago Machine players. There will also be an opportunity for lacrosse fans to enter a raffle for Chicago Machine merchandise.
