
Machine Sends Six Players to 2015 MLL All-Star Game

COLUMBUS, OHIO (June 2, 2015) - For the second straight season, the Ohio Machine will be represented by six players in the Major League Lacrosse All-Star Game. Peter Baum, Kyle Harrison, Marcus Holman, Brian Karalunas, Tom Schreiber and Dana Wilber will represent Machine when the top players in the League head to Houston, TX on June 13.
Entering the final weekend of games prior to the MLL All-Star game, the Machine sits in second place with a 4-3 record. Ohio's six all-stars are second only to New York's eight.
For the second consecutive season, the Machine's top midfield line of Baum, Harrison and Schreiber has been named all-stars. Harrison will make his sixth career all-star appearance, while Baum and Schreiber will make their second appearance in as many pro seasons.
Holman is in his third season in MLL and for the second staring year is an all-star. Acquired during the offseason, Karalunas is making his fourth all-star game appearance, and his first in a Machine uniform. For Wilber, it is his first all-star selection after being named the Machine's 2014 Defensive Player of the Year.
Since joining the league in 2012, the Machine has had 18 players named all-stars, including a club record six in 2014 and 2015.
Through seven games, Schreiber currently leads the Machine with 29 points, while Holman ranks second with 22 and Baum third with 18. Harrison is the team's fifth leading scorer with 14 points. Karalunas is second on the team with 25 groundballs, while Wilber's 14 groundballs rank fourth. Karalunas and Wilber anchor the defense in front of goalie Brian Phipps, who is posting the best statistical season of his career.
The 2015 MLL All-Star Game marks the first time, Major League Lacrosse will be taking the field in Houston. The game will be televised exclusively live on CBS Sports Network at 7:00 p.m. ET.
The Machine travels to Charlotte, NC for a June 5 game against the Hounds, before returning to Selby Stadium on Saturday, June 20 at 7 p.m. when the Chesapeake Bayhawks come to town.
