Motor City Metal Jackets News Release
(Wyandotte, Mich.) Josh Bussell (LaSalle, Mich.) added a hat trick and two assists on the weekend versus Alpena and Traverse City.
Offensive: Josh dished out an assist as the Machine fell 3-2 on Friday night in Alpena. While Saturday was the same story a 3-2 Josh was held off the board awaiting his breakout performance to be.
With the team trailing 3-1 in the first period, Josh took the puck a carried his team by scoring two goals to tie the game at 3-3 before the intermission. Once again the boys were tie at 4-4 and the puck was sent in high on the glove side of Stephenson but Bussell batted it out of the air for the go-ahead goal and hat trick, 5-4.
"He was the fasted player on the ice all night. It felt good to see (his hat trick)," said head coach Sean Clark.
On the season Busell ted in 24 games collecting 16 points (5G, 11A) while maintaining +/- 4.
The Motor City Machine is in their first season in Michigan as members of the North American Hockey League. The Motor City Machine are formerly the Southern MN Express, a team that made the playoffs three straight years and twice into the Robertson Cup finals.
