COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio Machine have announced the signing of faceoff specialist Christopher May.

In 16 career MLL games, May scored five goals and two assists, collected 74 ground balls, and went 164-327 from the X. At Georgetown, May won 71 face-offs over 22 games during his career and finished third in faceoff percentage in Big East Conference in 2012. May graduated with a degree in government and a minor in Spanish in 2014 and proceeded to pursue a graduate degree at the Ohio State University.

In his only season with the Buckeyes, May finished with two goals and an assist in addition to the 199 draws he won for the team. His efforts helped lead the Buckeyes to the second round of the 2015 NCAA Tournament and earned him consideration as the No. 1 faceoff specialist in the country. May will wear number 52.

"Chris played at Ohio State and has been a part of the Ohio Machine organization before, so we're very familiar with him," Machine Head Coach and General Manager Bear Davis said. "He's very consistent and in this league, he's done well. We have faith that he can challenge for a spot."

In a corresponding move, the Machine have placed faceoff specialist Greg Puskuldjian on the two-week IR with an upper body injury.
