Gatineau, October 24th , 2011 - The head coach Benoit Groulx acquired the 20 years old defenseman Alex Macdonald of the Oceanic of Rimouski and a 6th round pick in 2013 in return for a 4th round pick in 2013. Macdonald measures 6'04''and weighs 202 lbs. This season he has two assists in 14 games while maintaining a differential of -2.
With this acquisition, the Olympiques had to get rid of a 20 years old player. It is ultimately the defenseman Guillaume Rousseau who received the news that he was traded to the Tigres of Victoriaville against an 8th round pick in 2013. In 16 games with the Olympiques this season, he scored a goal and an assist in addition to spending 25 minutes in the penalty box.
