Lumberjacks Re-Scheduled Game Is Now $5 Sunday This Sunday, December 28th

MUSKEGON, MI.--- The Muskegon Lumberjacks will host their re-scheduled game this Sunday, December 28th when they rekindle animosities with one of their long-time rivals, the defending IHL league champions, Fort Wayne Komets at 5:00 pm at Walker Arena, Muskegon. This game was originally slated for Friday night, December 19th. However, due to some extreme arctic, wintry weather conditions, the game had to be postponed to be re-scheduled on another date.
As was originally planned and is still in effect, all tickets for this re-scheduled game will remain at the very special price of $5. All Lumberjacks fans who currently hold tickets for this game may still use them for this re-scheduled Muskegon Lumberjacks home contest.
It is the position of the Muskegon Lumberjacks organization to make every concerted effort to arrange for a quick re-scheduling date of this game on behalf of all of the fans. "We did not want our fans having to wait several months to use their $5 tickets for this big and important game," stated Lumberjacks Team Vice President Stacey Patulski. "This schedule change has created a physically-challenging 9-day period of time for our team. But they have all supported the idea of re-scheduling the game on an earlier date rather than a later one so those fans with tickets already in hand would not have to wait for a night of exciting Lumberjacks hockey; especially against such an excellent rival as the defending champions Komets." Due to this date change, the Lumberjacks will be embarking on their most strenuous stretch of the season consisting of 7-games in 9-nights.
All seats for this game will remain at the special price of $5 as was originally presented for the original game date of December 19th.

THE LUMBERJACKS THIRD JERSEY AUCTION SET FOR THIS SATURDAY NIGHT DECEMBER 27
When the Lumberjacks host archrival Kalamazoo this Saturday night, December 27th at 7:00 pm at Walker Arena, they will don for the third and final time their third jersey, the new-fangled "Vegas Gold" jerseys which will be auctioned immediately following the game.
The third jersey auction was originally scheduled for December 19th but had to be re-scheduled when the 'Jacks contest that night against Fort Wayne was postponed due to inclement winter weather conditions.
This special auction will be conducted immediately following the game in the Walker Arena Annex with a live DJ to provide a night's full of entertainment. As a very special feature to this auction, other choice team memorabilia will also be available for the best bids. The auction of these special Lumberjacks jerseys will represent the very first opportunity for the Lakeshore community to obtain an official game worn jersey since the advent of the second coming of the new Lumberjacks. A portion of the proceeds from this auction will be donated to the Baird Family Fund in honor of Jason Baird. Signed to a contract by the Lumberjacks for the current 2008-09 IHL season, Jason was severely burned in a landscaping accident last summer on July 17, 2008.
