
Lumberjacks Announce First Trade of 2020-21 Season

MUSKEGON, MI - The Muskegon Lumberjacks announced a trade today with the Omaha Lancers. The trade involves Alex Gaffney, a two-year forward who will be attending Harvard after his USHL commitment.
In exchange for Gaffney, the Lumberjacks will receive a Phase I 4th round pick and a Phase II 4th round pick in 2021, as well as a Phase I 3rd round pick and a Phase II 1st round pick in 2022. The Lancers, in addition to Gaffney will receive a 2021 Phase I 10th round pick and a 2022 Phase II 10th round pick.
Stephen Lowe, President of Hockey Operations for the Lumberjacks had this to say..."We always try to do what is best for our players and felt we owed it to Alex to put him in a top role in the USHL. He's worked hard and will be missed. We thank him for all of his contributions and wish him well in Omaha."
The Lumberjacks will play four home preseason games in October (without fans) and will open the Regular Season on November 6 in Dubuque. The 2020-21 Opening Weekend is set for Friday and Saturday, November 27 and 28, 2020. Tickets will go on sale on Monday, October 26 at 10am.
