NEW YORK - Major League Soccer on Tuesday announced Luis Robles as a finalist for MLS WORKS Humanitarian of the Year, presented by AdvoCare.
The three finalists include Ryan Hollingshead (FC Dallas), Matt Lampson (Chicago Fire) and Robles.
The winner of the 2017 MLS WORKS Humanitarian of the Year will be announced on Thursday, November 2.
This year, Robles again served as the spokesman for Tackle Kids Cancer, and hosted a dinner that raised over $105,000, with 100 percent of money raised set to go directly to research to end childhood cancer.
The goalkeeper also donated $10,000 of his own money to charitable causes, made monthly visits to children's hospitals, volunteered at clinics and programs for underprivileged children and participated in community efforts on behalf of the Red Bulls.
This is the second consecutive season Robles has been named a finalist for his service in the community.
