
Luc Bourdon and Joe Richard Honoured

Six new members will be enshrined into the New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame during a special ceremony which will be held in Caraquet on May 28.
Among the members is former QMJHL All-Star Luc Bourdon, a Shippagan native, who was a rising star before a tragic motorcycle accident ended his life at the age of 21. Moreover, Saint John Sea Dogs Governor Joe Richard, a native of Quispamsis, will be enshrined. The two QMJHL alumni join Guy Laviolette, from Charlo, Grace Donald, from Fredericton, Duncan McGeachy, from St.Stephen and Mel Murray, from Fredericton.
The New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame was created in 1970 to recognize and honour athletes, teams and exceptional builders and to underline their achievements.
