LOWELL, MA - The Lowell Spinners, Class-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox have officially released their 2016 promotional schedule. The team, which has a long history of quality and creative promotions, is happy to bring back some fan favorites as well as some new events for 2016.
Among the returning fan favorites are Star Wars Night (July 9), Princess Night (August 5), Jimmy Buffett Night (August 4), Pirate Night (June 25), Camp Day (July 13), and the popular Military Night (July 28). The Spinners are also bringing back Fireworks Nights (every Friday after July 1 and the season finale on August 31), Kids Club Nights (free entry every Tuesday for members of the Canaligator Kids Club), Peanut Free Sundays (every Sunday all season long), Boy Scout Sleepovers (June 25, July 9, and August 20), and a Girl Scout Sleepover on July 30.
New promotions for 2016 include BeÃÆ-sbol en EspaÃƱol (June 21), a game presented entirely in Spanish, Youth Baseball Coach Appreciation Day (June 27), a salute to those who give their time and resources to coaching youth baseball, Save the Music Night (July 11), a night dedicated to keeping music in schools, an appearance from notorious ballpark prankster Bird Zerk!(July 12), and Save Ferris Night (August 11), a celebration of the 30th Anniversary of "Ferris Bueller's Day Off."
Notable giveaways for this season include a Jimmy Buffett Themed Beach Towel (June 19), a Spinners 20th Anniversary Card Set (June 20), a Fred C. Church Baseball Hat (June
26), a Presidential Player Bobblehead (July 10), a Mookie Betts Bowling Pin (July 18), a Super Hero Cape (July 30), a Star Wars Bobblehead (August 20), and a 2016 team Uncut Card Set on August 29. The identity of bobbleheads are being kept secret for now but will be revealed in the coming weeks. Most giveaways are restricted to the first 1,000 fans in the stadium.
The Spinners also note that promos will still be added to the existing schedule and all dates are subject to change.
The Spinners also revealed that individual game tickets will go on sale Tuesday, March 15.
