Lowell Spinners News Release

LOWELL, Massachusetts - The Lowell Spinners today announced they will be one of 16 communities featured in Minor League Baseball's new multi-year sponsorship with Sunrun (Nasdaq: RUN), the largest dedicated residential solar company in the United States. As the "Preferred Residential Solar Power Provider of Minor League Baseball," Sunrun will share how baseball fans across the country can save 20 percent on their home electricity bills with clean power from the sun.

To kick off the partnership and the 2016 season, Spinners outfielder Andrew Benintendi has been selected to Sunrun's "The Future is Bright" lineup. The list consists of one top prospect from each of the 16 local communities that Sunrun serves in partnership with MiLB.

In 2015, Benintendi played for the Short Season-A Lowell Spinners and the Single-A Greenville Drive. He hit a combined .313 with 11 home runs and 31 RBI. Drafted seventh overall in the 2015 MLB Draft, Benintendi won several national awards last spring at the University of Arkansas, including the Golden Spikes Award (nation's top amateur player), the Dick Howser Trophy (college player of the year), SEC Player of the Year, and Baseball America's College Player of the Year.

The Spinners will also be hosting "Sunrun Sundays" throughout the season, giving young fans the opportunity to escort players to their on- field positions as part of Sunrun's Jr. All-Stars program.

"Andrew Benintendi is one of our organization's top prospects, and we're happy to see him receive recognition in Sunrun's 'The Future is Bright' lineup," said Tim Bawmann, general manager of the Spinners. "The new partnership with Sunrun gives us the opportunity to further develop the family atmosphere at LeLacheur Park by incorporating 'Sunrun Sundays' activities and promoting home solar power."
