Lowell Spinners Trivia

Any Spinners fan who responds with the right answer to the trivia question by Friday, November 5, will be entered to win an autographed Luis Alicea baseball, who is the Spinners mananger and played for the Red Sox in 1995. (E-Mail answers off to jpanarese@lowellspinners.com)

Who held the single season record for lowest ERA by a Spinner in a season before Anibal Sanchez?

Congratulations to Bruce Young who answered the trivia question correctly in last edition's Spinners e-mail newsletter and won New England Patriots David Givens, Dan Koppen and John Hannah autographed 8x10 photos.

The question was "How many former Spinners made their Major League debut this past summer and name them." The correct answer was Abe Alavarez, Anastacio Martinez, Marty McLeary, & Kevin Youkilis.

Congratulations to the Boston Red Sox - 2004 World Series Champions

The Lowell Spinners are very proud to say they are now the Class A Affiliate of the 2004 World Series Champion Boston Red Sox.

A special congratulations goes out to former Spinner Kevin Youkilis, who becomes the first alum to win a World Series in a Red Sox uniform. David Eckstein was the first former Spinner to play in a World Series and won a World Series title with the Anaheim Angels (2002).

The best part is the script is still being written because when the Red Sox raise the banner on Opening Day at Fenway Park next April guess who they are playing? You guessed right - the New York Yankees.

Generations are finally resting in peace. Congratulations Red Sox!
