Lowell Spinners News Release
LOWELL, MA - The two-time defending Stedler Division Champion Lowell Spinners, the Class-A Affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, announced that individual tickets to all Spinners home games will become available online only (www.lowellspinners.com) beginning Tuesday, March 16. At this point, tickets will only be available for purchase through the Spinners Website.
Box office and phone sales (978-459-1702) will begin on Tuesday, March 30 at 11 a.m. Phone and Ticket Office hours are Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Internet sales will continue unabated when walk-up and phone sales begin.
Ticket Prices for the 2010 season remain the most affordable family entertainment in New England: Premium Box seats are $10, Box seats are $9, Reserved seats are $6 and Standing Room tickets (only available once each event sells out) are $5.
"We recognize the importance of an affordable family entertainment and we strive to make every night opening night at LeLacheur Park for families throughout New England," said Spinners Vice President and General Manager Tim Bawmann. "We are happy to provide affordable family entertainment for everyone, from Spinnertainment to the Red Sox stars of tomorrow."
Opening Day at LeLacheur Park is Monday, June 21 as the Spinners celebrate 15 years of baseball in Lowell when they take on the Tri-City Valley Cats and Oneonta Tigers over a five-game homestand.
The 2010 Spinners schedule features a host of weekend games, highlighted by five Friday nights, seven Saturdays and seven Sundays. While kids have had the opportunity to run the bases in Sunday's in the past, as part of the 2010 Spinnertainment schedule the Spinners are allowing children to run the bases after every game this season.
"Seeing the look on the faces of children as they circle the bases is absolutely priceless," said Bawmann. "We pride ourselves on our Opening Night mantra and the idea that the one game your family attended wasn't a Sunday so you couldn't run the bases didn't sit well with us, so we are happy to offer the opportunity to children after every Spinners home game."
The Spinners have sold out 381 consecutive home games at LeLacheur Park to a standing-room only crowd of 5,000 fans (5,030 since mid-2006) dating back to August 2,
