SARASOTA, Fla. -- Left-hander Matt Maloney allowed just three hits over five scoreless innings to help Louisville knock off Indianapolis, 3-1, Wednesday afternoon at the Reds Minor League Complex.

Maloney (5.0 IP, 3 H, 1 BB, 5 SO) notched the win, while Bats RHP Marcus McBeth (1.0 IP, 1 SO) worked a 1-2-3 ninth for the save.

Indians RHP Luis Munoz (4.0 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 2 SO) suffered the loss.

The Tribe plated its only run in the top of the third when LF Jorge Cortes roped an RBI single after CF Andrew McCutchen and SS Brian Bixler drew back-to-back walks.

Louisville answered with a run in the bottom of the third to take a lead it would not relinquish. 2B Paul Janish beat out a bunt single and scored on CF Jay Bruce's triple to right center that inning.

Indianapolis is scheduled to play two more exhibitions -- Friday vs. Louisville in Bradenton and Saturday vs. Norfolk in Sarasota.
