PLAYOFFS!!!! With a 62-40 victory over the San Diego Riptide last Saturday the Fire has clinched a playoff spot for the second straight season. Lawrence Matthews led the way for the Fire on defense with two interceptions including one for a touchdown. The Fire defense turned in their best performance of the 2005 season shutting the Riptide out in the second and third quarters. If the season ended today the Fire would be the fourth seed in the American Conference and would face Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
JOE B. & DENNY... The Fire has teamed up with Joe B. Hall and Denny Crum for a special dual bobblehead at the July 23rd game. The bobbleheads will be available to purchase for just $20 with proceeds going to Crestwood Christian Church and the Denny Crum Scholarship Foundation. $1.50 DOGS... The Fire has joined Fischer's for the July 23rd game to offer fans $1.50 all beef deli dogs. Fans can purchase up to four dogs at once.
HEADING WEST... The Fire will head west this weekend to take on the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz on Saturday night at 8:30 P.M. The Yard Dawgz are in the thick of the National Conference playoff chase, and will come into the game with an identical 8-5 record as the Fire. The game can be heard on 1080-AM WKJK with Paul Wilman.

OLD PHONES... The Fire has teamed up with Special Olympics Kentucky to turn your old cell phones into gold for area Special Olympics athletes.
