Louisiana's Jake Hauswirth named Easton Player of the Week

HUNTERSVILLE, NC - The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) today announced Jake Hauswirth of the Louisiana IceGators is the Easton Player of the Week for January 19-25.

Hauswirth scored two goals, including one game-winner, and assisted on two others as the IceGators took a pair of games from Huntsville.

On Friday, the Marquette, Michigan native scored a first-period goal and added the eventual game-winner in the second as Louisiana doubled-up the Havoc 4-2. Hauswirth added an assist in Saturday's 2-1 win over Huntsville, extending his point streak to eight games (8-4-12 during the streak).

Though only joining the IceGators on December 22, Hauswirth is currently second on the team in goals, netting 10 in 14 games. Now in his sixth professional season, Hauswirth played 16 games with the ECHL's Rapid City Rush this year before joining the IceGators.
