
Louisiana's Adam Stuart Named Easton Player of the Week

HUNTERSVILLE, NC - The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) today announced Adam Stuart of the Louisiana IceGators is the Easton Player of the Week for March 17-23.
Stuart scored four goals, including one game-winner, in leading the IceGators to a pair of wins as they closed out the regular season with their best record in team history (35-18-3).
On Friday, the Calgary, Alberta native scored the game-winning goal early in the third period and added an empty-netter as the IceGators defeated Huntsville 3-1. Stuart came back on Saturday with a pair of second-period goals as Louisiana rallied from an early two-goal deficit to beat Knoxville 6-3.
Stuart led the SPHL with nine game-winning goals, tied for third-most in a single season, was third in points (56) and fourth in goals (26). Stuart finished the season with career highs in goals, assists (30), points and plus-minus rating (+13). Before turning pro Stuart played one season at York University, where led the team in scoring with 22 points in 27 games in 2010-11.
