Loudoun United FC Sign Homegrown Goalkeeper Ryan Conner to an Academy Contract

Leesburg, VA - Loudoun United FC announce that homegrown goalkeeper Ryan Conner has signed an Academy Contract with the club for the remainder of the 2026 USL Championship season, pending league and federation approval.

Conner plays for the VRSC MLS NEXT U19 team and currently attends Virginia Academy in Ashburn, Virginia, where he plays for the school's varsity soccer team. His signing represents the latest step in Loudoun United's commitment to identifying talented local players and providing them with a pathway into the professional game.

The goalkeeper has established himself as a strong shot-stopper with the athleticism and quick reactions needed to make difficult saves. Conner is also known for his ability to defend penalty kicks, read the game, and communicate with his teammates from the back.

Conner began his high school career at Loudoun County High School, where he played goalkeeper during his freshman and sophomore seasons. He was part of the school's soccer program during back-to-back divisional and regional championship seasons in 2024 and 2025. After joining Virginia Academy, Conner earned Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association Division II All-State Second Team honors in 2025. He continued his success during the 2026 season, helping Virginia Academy capture the NACA Spring Championship.

At the club level, Conner continued his development with the VRSC MLS NEXT U19 team. Across his youth career, he has been part of teams that won the 2023 Revolution Cup and 2024 Capital Fall Classic, reached the 2024 Revolution Cup Final, and finished first in their bracket at the 2025 Jefferson Cup.

Conner will now continue his development within Loudoun United's professional environment while maintaining his amateur eligibility. His signing further demonstrates the club's investment in creating opportunities for homegrown players.
