Loudoun United FC Set to Host Columbus Crew in Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Round of 32

LEESBURG, VA. - Loudoun United FC will play host to Major League Soccer club Columbus Crew in the Round of 32 of the 2023 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. The match will take place on Wednesday, May 10 at 7 p.m. EST at Segra Field. Single-match tickets for the Round of 32 will be available on Tuesday, May 2 at 12 p.m. ET.

Loudoun United advanced to the Round of 32 for the first time in club history after defeating Flower City Union 5-0, on Wednesday, April 26 at Segra Field. Tommy Williamson recorded a brace while Zach Ryan, Kalil ElMedkhar and Abdoul Zanne scored one goal apiece.

This match will mark the Red-and-White's first-ever official match against an MLS club. Columbus Crew advanced to the Round of 32 following a 1-0 win over USL Championship-side Hartford Athletic. Defender Mohamed Farsi had the game-winning goal in the 83rd minute. The MLS-side currently sit in fifth place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 4-2-3.
