LouCity Recalls Damm from Loan Ahead of Friday's Game
May 11, 2022 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
Louisville City FC News Release
Louisville City FC announced Wednesday it has recalled defender Owen Damm from his loan to USL League One club Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC. Damm will be available for selection in LouCity's Friday night contest against the LA Galaxy II at Dignity Health Sports Park in Los Angeles.
An 18-year-old from Versailles, Ky., Damm signed a professional deal this past offseason out of LouCity's youth academy. He made a pair of League One appearances for Hailstorm FC and took part in an April 6 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup second round upset of the USL Championship's Colorado Springs Switchbacks SC that marked both Damm's pro debut and Hailstorm FC's first-ever game.
Back with LouCity, Damm will help the club work through injury woes on a tight turnaround. Regular left back Amadou Dia and right back Manny Perez were both missing from a midweek Open Cup victory at Detroit City FC. After the game, coach Danny Cruz termed Dia as questionable and Perez out for Friday.
The boys in purple kick off at 10:30 p.m. ET at LA Galaxy II, looking to extend their 13-game unbeaten streak across all competitions to open 2022. Coverage will air live locally on WBKI/The CW and ESPN Louisville's 680/105.7, with live streaming also on ESPN+.
