Fresno FC News Release

FRESNO - Rony Argueta's left-footed poke at the 78th minute fueled Los Zorros (2-1-1) to a 2-1 win against OKC Energy FC on Saturday night at Chukchansi Park. The late game-winner, sent downtown Fresno into delirium as the club walked away with its second consecutive victory, and also its first in front of the home crowd.

Fresno FC captain Juan Pablo Caffa opened the game with a brilliant score, stepping up and curling a beautiful free kick into the upper-right corner at the 15th minute. It was the Argentinian's first goal for the Foxes, and the club's first in the opening half. Caffa drew the foul after taking a cleat to the face by Energy FC's Justin Chavez. The 33-year-old midfielder got up unscathed, arranged his free kick, and gave Los Zorros the lead.

However, the lead went short-lived as six minutes later Energy FC equalized on a header by forward Jaime Siaj Romero at the 21st minute. Ema Twumasi found his teammate on a cross into the penalty that Siaj Romero placed into the bottom left.

Siaj Romero tried to add another at the 28th minute, but his shot from distance bent just outside the post.

OKC defender Richard Dixon was cautioned at the 38th for a hard challenge to Fresno's Bradley Kamdem Fewo.

It is the second straight win for Fresno FC, which beat Seattle Sounders FC 2, 1-0, on the road on Wednesday. The club survived the week with six points. The Foxes return to action April 7, when visit Saint Louis FC (1-1-1).

EL MEXICANO MAN OF THE MATCH: JUAN PABLO CAFFA, MF

Caffa gave Fresno FC the lead in the first half on a brilliant free kick and his dribble in the second-half set up Rony Argueta's game-winner.
