Los Angeles Avengers To Take Part In The California Coastal Clean-up Day

The Surfrider Foundation's West Los Angeles/Malibu Chapter will be captaining the Venice Beach Breakwater site for the California Coastal Clean-Up Day, where hundreds of volunteers will pitch in to clean up the beach, aided by members of the Los Angeles Avengers. This is the third year that the Avengers are participating in this community event with The Surfrider Foundation.
More than 10,000 volunteers are expected to come together in Los Angeles County, taking action to rid our beaches and inland waterways of unsightly and harmful debris. Ninety-one countries around the world will take part in this extraordinary, international event! Last year, Los Angeles County's nearly 10,000 participants picked up more than 70,000 pounds of trash and recyclables.
