LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Avengers will host their Fifth Annual Charity Golf Tournament, benefiting PADRES Contra El Cáncer, on Monday, May 8, at MountainGate Country Club.
The tournament will feature a shotgun start to 18 holes of golf, a celebrity awards dinner, an extensive silent auction and a live auction. PADRES Contra El Cáncer is a non-profit organization committed to improving the quality of life for Latino children with cancer and their families. PADRES programs, activities and services, while primarily oriented to the Latino community, serve childhood cancer patients from all races and ethnic origins. No family is turned away. Celebrating over 20 years of service, PADRES brings together children, families, healthcare professionals and community leaders to promote a comprehensive understanding of childhood cancer and other blood disorders as well as effective methods for treatment.

Foursomes start at $5,000, which includes four tournament spots, lunches and tickets to the post-tournament reception. Each foursome will be paired with an Avenger player, coach or celebrity.
Registration opens at 10 a.m., to be followed by breakfast, warm up, open driving range and a putting contest. The tournament begins at noon, followed by a cocktail reception and silent auction at 5:30 p.m. and the celebrity awards dinner and live auction at 6:30 p.m.
The Avengers will host the Nashville Kats on Saturday, May 6, at STAPLES Center. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on AM 570 (live) and in Spanish on KWKU 1220-AM (delayed until 10 a.m. on Sunday morning).
