LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Avengers will host their Sixth Annual Charity Golf Tournament, benefiting PADRES Contra El Cáncer, on Monday, May 14, at Lost Canyons Golf Club in Simi Valley.
The tournament will feature a shotgun start to 18 holes of golf, a celebrity awards dinner, and an extensive silent auction.

PADRES Contra El Cáncer is a non-profit organization committed to improving the quality of life for Latino children with cancer and their families. PADRES programs, activities and services, while primarily oriented to the Latino community, serve childhood cancer patients from all races and ethnic origins. No family is turned away. Celebrating over 20 years of service, PADRES brings together children, families, healthcare professionals and community leaders to promote a comprehensive understanding of childhood cancer and other blood disorders as well as effective methods for treatment.

Foursomes start at $5,000, which includes four tournament spots, lunches and tickets to the post-tournament reception. Each foursome will be paired with an Avenger player, coach or celebrity.
Registration opens at 9:30 a.m., to be followed by breakfast, warm up, open driving range and a putting contest. The tournament begins at 11 a.m., followed by a cocktail reception and silent auction at 4:00 p.m. and the celebrity awards dinner at 5:00 p.m.
Fresh off a 59-37 victory over the Las Vegas Gladiators on Sunday, the Avengers are currently 5-4. The team's next game will be on Saturday, May 12, against the Tampa Bay Storm.
