
Looking to Secure a Playoff Seed, Wilmington Travels

Wilmington Hammerheads FC News Release
Wilmington, NC - On Saturday, August 6th, the Wilmington Hammerheads will travel to Rochester NY to take on the Rhinos at Rhinos Stadium.
Wilmington currently sits in tenth place, fighting for a playoff seed; while Rochester sits in a cushioned seventh place standing.
Although Wilmington has lost three out of the past four games, and tying Bethlehem on July 17th, the Port City team is working to change that. Newcomer, #91 Jermie Lynch, played in Wilmington's last match against Pittsburgh where he proved his ability by scoring the only goal of the match, and his first for Wilmington. Head coach Mark Briggs stated in a recent interview, "He immediately stepped onto the field and carried the weight of the game. He's just what we need at this point in the season as we fight to reach a playoff position."
