Saint John Riptide News Release
(Saint John, NB): The Saint John Mill Rats, presented by Rogers, are pleased to announce the return of 6'6 long range bomber, Antonio Burks, to the roster for the 2012-13 season.
Burks was a fan favorite for his personality off the court and his deadly three point shooting on.
A midseason acquisition last year, Burks contributed 8.3 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game on 42% shooting from behind the arc. His hot streak against Oshawa on February 23rd all but locked in Saint John for the postseason when he drained 6 of 7 three pointers in the first half. That game he led all scorers at the half with 20 points.
The Saint John Mill Rats open training camp on October 20th. The list of players signed by the Mill Rats for training camp is now 14:
Anthony Anderson 5'11 guard
Jerice Crouch 6'0 guard
Darin Mency 6'2 guard
Mike Anderson 6'4 guard
Melvin Council 6'4 guard
