Long Island Iced Three: Nets Hit 19 Threes to Cool off Suns at Showcase

LAS VEGAS - The Long Island Nets (5-11) defeated the Northern Arizona Suns (2-15), 102-78, to wrap up Day Three of the 2019 MGM Resorts NBA G League Showcase.

Guard C.J. Williams led Long Island with a game-high 25 points and six three-point field goals. Jaylen Hands added 23 points and seven assists in the contest. With the victorious effort, Long Island improves to 5-11 on the season.

The Nets hit 19 three-pointers and shot 41.3 percent from three-point range. The mark ties the season-high for Long Island. Tonight's game featured two lead changes and four ties, which all occurred in the first half.

Northern Arizona was paced by Phoenix Suns two-way player Jared Harper with 24 points in 28 minutes. Reserve Aaron Epps had a near double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds in 23 minutes. With tonight's loss, the Suns drop to 2-15 on the season.

Long Island finished the Showcase 1-1 and will host the Erie BayHawks on Dec. 27 at 7 p.m. ET. Northern Arizona closed out its Showcase 0-2 and next hosts the South Bay Lakers on Dec. 28 at 7 p.m. ET. Both games will be available on NBAGLeague.com.
