Orange County Flyers News Release
It was the Long Beach Armada's game from the outset as Omar Bramasco homered and they never looked back in a 13-4 route of the Orange County Flyers to take a 2-1 series lead Friday night at Goodwin Field in Fullerton.
Julian Williams furthered the damage finishing the night 3-5 with six RBI and Ryan Claypool held the Flyers offense in check picking up the win with a seven inning performance while allowing just two runs.
The Armada added six runs in the sixth to knock Flyer's starter Matt Durkin out of the ball game and saddle him while Long Beach scored all 13 of their runs before the Flyers could get on the board.
Long Beach moves into the driver seat while the series continues at Goodwin Field on Saturday at 7:05 with Jesse Smith and Dustin Gober scheduled to make the start for Orange County and Long Beach respectively.
