Huntsville is alone again, and couldn't be happier. The Flight built an 18-point lead after three quarters and then held on for dear life in an 84-81 victory at Mobile Tuesday night. The victory leaves Huntsville alone at the top of the standings at 9-5, one-half game ahead of Greenville. The Groove entertains the Fayetteville Patriots tonight at the Bi-Lo Center in Greenville.
BI-LO ON FIRE
The Bi-Lo Center hosts the two hottest teams in the NBDL tonight. Fayetteville has won four consecutive games to jump into third place in the league standings, while Greenville has won eight of its last nine and is one-half game out of first.
PRIDE OF DAVIDSON
Brandon Williams scored 11 of his game high 22 points in the third quarter in Huntsville's Tuesday night victory. The pride of the Davidson Wildcats was 8-of-12 from the floor and is averaging 17.1 points per game in the month of December.
THAT'S L-O-N-N-I-E
Huntsville's Lonnie Harrell connected on 8-of-10 field goal attempts to score 20 points in the Flight's win at Mobile Tuesday night. Harrell is averaging 20 points in two games against the Revelers this season.
DECEMBER CHARITY
Fayetteville's Jason Capel has converted 21-of-22 free throw attempts in the month of December. He is 39-of-43 for the season.
MAKE MINE A DOUBLE
Mobile's Derek Hood recorded his third double-double in nine games this season with 13 points and 12 rebounds in the loss to Huntsville Tuesday night. Columbus' Tang Hamilton leads the league with five double-doubles.
