London Lightning Playoff Schedule Set for Round 1
February 25, 2014 - National Basketball League of Canada (NBL Canada)
London Lightning News Release
(LONDON, Ontario) - The London Lightning have likely clinched third place in the NBL of Canada Central Division and will begin the 2013/2014 NBL Playoffs against the Brampton A's. Barring a major collapse of the Brampton A's (losing all three of their remaining games), the Lightning will finish in third place and will open up the 2013/2014 playoffs on the road in Brampton.
The Lightning currently sit at 23W - 16L with one remaining regular season game on the road in Brampton this coming Friday. The Lightning are 4-3 on the year against the A's and will close out the regular season against Brampton Friday, February 28 at 7:00 p.m. at the Powerade Centre.
"The Brampton team has done a tremendous job this season putting together a solid basketball squad. They are very well coached and will definitely be a tough opening round opponent. We are excited to get the playoffs going and think we are strong enough to compete for a championship. We are taking every round seriously and will not look past any opponent in this league. We have a major target on our back, but we look forward to the competition," said General Manager, Taylor Brown.
