Florida Seals News Release

Orlando – Brad Federenko scored his 13th goal of the season but it was all the Seal could muster as they fell to the Lakeland Loggerheads 2-1 Sunday afternoon at the TD Waterhouse Centre.

The game was the fourth in four days for Orlando (16-6-2), who went 2-2 in that span. The victory was Lakeland's first on the road and only their 4th overall, as they improve to 4-17-4.

Lakeland opened up the scoring late in the first period on a power play tally from Jeremy Vokes at 19:10. Curtis Sayler added another for the Loggerheads at 5:33 of the second for a 2-0 Lakeland lead. Vokes added an assist on the tally to give him a game-high 2 points.

The Seals began a rally late in the second when B.J. Stephens slid a pass from behind the net to a streaking Federenko in the slot, who rifled a slapshot past Lakeland goaltender Tyler Murray for a 2-1 game. Orlando had several scoring opportunities in the third but was unable to capitalize, hitting the post twice in that span.

The Seals look to avenge their loss this Thursday, January 15 when Lakeland returns to the TD Waterhouse Centre for a 7:05 pm start. All Seals games can be heard live at www.IRN.FM.
