(PHILADELPHIA) - Lou Tilley Media Enterprises, producers of the Philadelphia Soul telecasts on WMCN-TV, announce that the local Delaware Valley television station will air "The Maxwell Football Club Awards 2011" July 2 at 11:30 p.m., after the live telecast of the Philadelphia Soul at Dallas Vigilantes.

The 30-minute awards special is a compilation of the Philadelphia-based football club's 74th annual awards gala, held in Atlantic City at Harrah's Resort this past spring.

"The Maxwell Football Club is once again gaining the national recognition that it deserves, as America's oldest football-only organization," said Tilley, president of Lou Tilley Media Enterprises and play-by-play announcer for Philadelphia Soul telecasts on WMCN. "This year's awards gala featured what club president Ron Jaworski called 'the finest collection of football stars I've ever been around.'"

Featured in the special, which is hosted by Tilley and Janine Laishear, are Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick and head coach Andy Reid, Maxwell Award-winning quarterback Cam Newtown of Auburn University, Patrick Peterson of Louisiana State University, journalist Peter King, and a special appearance by Penn State head football coach Joe Paterno. Paterno presented the first annual Joseph V. Paterno award to Virginia Tech coach Frank Beamer at this year's awards gala.

The Philadelphia Soul at Dallas Vigilantes airs at 8:30 p.m. with Lou Tilley, Bill Osborn and Tom Goodhines on the call. In the event that the game goes into overtime, "The Maxwell Football Club Awards 2011" will air immediately following the conclusion of the telecast.
